The St Catherine North Police have launched a probe in the theft of a truck load of Nestle products in Spanish Town on Tuesday.
Reports are that about 7:30 p.m., a truck owned by Sunshine Snacks and contracted to Nestle Jamaica Limited, left Bog Walk, St Catherine. Upon reaching the Spanish Town Bypass, a vehicle drove into the path of the truck.
The driver swerved from the vehicle and lost control of the truck which caused the flatbed to overturn.
With all the contents spilled, persons in the immediate vicinity along with passers-by converged on the scene.
They made off with cases of milk, Maggi Soups, Supligen, Milo and other products valued about $2 million.
Investigators are probing the matter.
