WESTERN BUREAU:

A Hanover man who was arrested on two occasions for reportedly possessing paraphernalia connected to the lottery scam is booked to return to the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court in April next year, as the case file is incomplete.

Plumber Nyhone Wilmot, 30, from Orchard Housing Scheme in Hopewell, had his bail extended until April 15, when he appeared in court last Wednesday.

It is alleged that on February 20, 2014, Wilmot was among a group of men in Cambridge, St James, who were searched by the police. A lead sheet with overseas contact information was reportedly found on Wilmot, who was then arrested and charged.

It is further alleged that Wilmot's arrest came after he had been granted bail on a similar charge, in which the police reportedly seized a cellular phone with overseas contact information and several papers with identity information during a search of his home, last December.

In court last Wednesday, clerk of the court Natalie Malcolm told presiding magistrate Carolyn Tie that the forensic report was still outstanding.

Subsequently, Wilmot had his bail extended until April 15.
