A fine of $5,000 was imposed on a man in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Wednesday, after he allegedly used a Guinness bottle to slap his 17-year-old girlfriend in the head.
Charged with unlawful wounding is Jermaine Cole.
According to Cole, he and the teen with whom he shared a relationship were involved in an altercation. It is understood that the teen hit him in a gunshot wound he had, which caused him to vomit blood.
It was at that point Cole slapped the teen in her head with the bottle.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered that Cole pay $5000 or serve six months in prison.
