Man accused of killing bus conductor arrested


The police have arrested and charged one man in relation to the murder of Kenroy Smith, otherwise called 'Smokey', a bus conductor of Penwood, Kingston 11, who was killed on December 31.


Fifty-two-year old Roland Bronstorphe, otherwise called 'Keith', has been charged for Smith's murder.


Information received from the Darling Street police is that about 5:15 p.m., Smith and Bronstorphe were involved in an argument at the Darling Street Rural Bus Park was used to stab Smith. He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.


Bronstorphe is scheduled to appear in the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.


Investigations continue.
