The Jamaican man who was killed in a boating accident in the British Virgin Islands on Saturday has been identified as Howard Anderson.
Reports are that Anderson, an engineer, died after the inflatable vessel carrying employees of the Oil Nut Bay Resort, crashed into rocks on its way to the resort from an event in The Valley area of the islands.
A Caucasian woman from the United States is the second victim. Her body was fished from waters off Virgin Gorda hours later. Four other injured employees were taken to hospital for treatment.
The BVI News Online reports that when it contacted representatives of the resort to verify whether the victims lived at Oil Nut Bay, they declined to give information, but said they were aware of the incident and noted the resort's main concern was the victims and their relatives.
