The South East Regional Health Authority has asked for a review of the security arrangement at the Spanish Town Hospital in St Catherine, following a break-in at the institution on the weekend.
This was after a storeroom and a section of the hospital were broken into and televisions sets, DVD player, and medical supplies were stolen.
Following the theft of the items, persons doing dialysis treatment yesterday had to wait additional hours as several of the medicinal items were stolen by the hoodlums.
Personnel worked assiduously and things were brought back to normality during the course of the day.
Despite having security arrangement in place over the years, the health institution has suffered several criminal acts, such as robberies, theft, and break-ins.
The Spanish Town police are investigating the matter.
