Blind child healed after prayers

Persons at a primary school in St Catherine are claiming that after prayers recently, a miracle occurred involving a student who claimed she had gone blind.

THE STAR was informed that a grade-three student went to class at the Grateful Hill Primary School and after a short while complained of becoming blind.

''I set about calling several pastors around the community, one came in, while others were on the phone and we prayed for the child. I laid my hand on her eye and she said that she felt movement in the eye. She then washed it in the bathroom,'' Principal George Moodie said.

The principal told THE STAR that he believes that it was a miracle and it helps to strengthen his Christian faith that through God all things are possible.

His views were echoed by persons who said that we are living in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ.

''The Bible tells us that in the last days there will be signs and wonders, so these are some of the things that will happen wherever you are. It is good that the principal used prayer as his first step,'' Jacqueline Williams, a St Catherine resident, said.

Meanwhile, other persons said that the school should be singled out for its clear belief that prayer can be of very good use.
