Two killed on Dyke Road


Investigators from the St Catherine South Major Investigation Task Force are searching for the men who shot and killed two unidentified males close to Dyke Road in Portmore, St Catherine.


Reports are that about 5:30 p.m., a black, heavily tinted motor vehicle, was observed parked near a bridge, close to the entrance to Highway 2000 from Portmore.


A white motor vehicle, with two occupants, drove up and stopped close to the black vehicle.

The driver of the black vehicle is reported to have been pulled from the parked vehicle and shot repeatedly. The other occupant is said to have fled but he was chased and also shot repeatedly. Both men died on the spot.


The traffic leading to Portmore was brought to a standstill for several hours as police personnel preserved the crime scene. Up to press time the identities of both males were yet to be ascertained by the police and the attackers still remain at large
