One man was killed and two other persons injured in a motor vehicle crash that occurred on the Retreat main road in Westmoreland yesterday.
Police say the dead man is 20-year-old Delano McFarlane of Bessie Baker district in Hanover.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that about 6:15 a.m., McFarlane was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla motor car that was travelling along the roadway when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
Police said all three occupants of the motor car were taken to hospital, where McFarlane died while being treated. The driver and a woman - the third person in the motor vehicle - were admitted in serious condition.
