A Rastafarian was on Friday sentenced to three- month imprisonment in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court after he conned a complainant to get a bicycle and later failed to pay for it.
Charged with larceny by trick is Godfrey Smith.
Smith initially pleaded not guilty to the charge, but when he was told he would have to stand trial, changed his plea to guilty.
The court was told that the complainant lent a bicycle to the accused man and he did not bring it back.
Smith said, "Your Honour, I didn't steal it, somebody took it. I don't steal anything."
The court also heard that Smith failed to repay the complainant.
A fingerprint order was also made against Smith.
