Aunt accused of stabbing nephew awaits fate

An aunt who it is alleged used a knife to stab her nephew repeatedly in his chest will have to wait a while longer before her fate is decided.

Yesterday, when the matter was called up in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, the accused, Lola Hall, pleaded guilty to the offence.

The court was told Hall used a knife to stab the complainant in the left side of his chest.

Senior Resident Magistrate, Judith Pusey, asked Hall, "How many times did you stab him?" The accused said; "I don't know."

The court then heard that the complainant was stabbed multiple times and was admitted to hospital for a few days.

Reports are that Hall accused her nephew of taking money from her home and this led to the dispute.

A fingerprint order was made against Hall. She is to return to court on February 25.
