There was suppressed laughter inside the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court after it was revealed how a woman battered her lover who is a police constable.
When the matter was mentioned, the complainant begged the court to warn the accused.
"Your Honour, while she was on bail she assaulted me again, hitting me in the face and all over my body," he said calmly.
He also told the court that he was receiving threatening and disrespectful texts.

In extending her bail, the Resident Magistrate warned the accused to keep away from the complainant.
"Your Honour, the complainant begged that a psychiatric evaluation be ordered for the accused," the clerk of court told the court.
Allegations are that on October 23, the complainant was accused of having an affair. There was a physical confrontation and the police were called to the Angels community.
Upon the arrival of the team, the woman started to rain blows on the complainant. The accused was said to have behaved badly and when others intervened she reportedly attacked them also.
She was subsequently charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.
The matter will again be mentioned on February 10 next year when the file is to be completed.
