The five were charged with conspiracy to possess dangerous drugs; import dangerous drugs; possession of dangerous drugs with intent to supply and importation of dangerous drugs.
Reports are that the men conspired to import Indian hemp. Our news team gathered that the men were found with approximately 800 pounds of the drug.
Police said the Drug Enforcement Unit officers along with Defence Force Marines observed several men on a boat offloading several large packages on to a truck.
Upon searching the truck, officers found drugs valuing more than $800,000.
In court, Taylor pleaded guilty to the charges, while the other defendants pleaded not guilty.
THE STAR gathered that none of the men were eligible for bail and that the Jamaican was the only suspect without an attorney.
They are to return to court on March 5.
