A church sister was hauled before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer to unlawful wounding charges after allegedly stabbing one of her church brothers.

The Crown alleged that the accused, Simone Allen, is reported to have been barred from entering the church property because of her rowdy conduct. Subsequently, after a brief confrontation, it was alleged that Allen used a knife to stab the complainant.

"She's a person that don't take talk. We know she have a record, a Bellevue record," said the complainant, who appeared in court with another church brethren for what appeared to be moral support.

Upon hearing the complainant's claim, Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered a psychiatric evaluation for the accused, who was remanded in custody until March 10.

Seemingly unsettled, the accused disputed, "Him fi get lock up to, in Jesus name!" as she was carted off by officers.
