Bank teller murder suspect killed


Detectives are investigating an incident on Friday in which suspects believed to be involved in the killing of a Bank of Nova Scotia employee, engaged the police in a shoot-out on Waltham Park Road in St Andrew.


One man was killed and two persons including a 16-year-old girl arrested.


The dead man has been identified by his alias 'Chin'.


It is reported that after midnight, the suspects were spotted in the car owned by Bank of Nova Scotia employee, Dwayne Grigg.


Further reports are that the police team intercepted the vehicle along Waltham Park Road and the car crashed.


It is reported that occupants alighted and began firing at the police. The cops returned fire and two of the suspects were hit.


The 16 year-old who ran into a house was chased and held. A fourth suspect escaped and is being sought.


An illegal gun was also seized.


Grigg was found dead in Cherry Gardens, St. Andrew, on Thursday, one day after he was reported missing.
