Transport, Works and Housing Minister Dr Omar Davis is moving to address security at the site of the North/South Highway following the shooting death and robbery of four men in Bower's Hill district in Bog Walk, St Catherine on Sunday.
The men, Craig Christopher Harris, Carlton Scott, Kirk Anthony Foote, and Courtney Corbourn all from Bog Walk in St Catherine, were shot dead about 2:30 p.m. as they were reportedly taking more than $1.5 million to pay salaries to persons employed to China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC).
Condolences
"We will be taking steps to meet with the Commissioner of Police with a view to discussing security issues as they relate to activities at the site of the North/South Highway," the minister said in a release issued, yesterday.
He also expressed his condolences to the families of the four men. CHEC has also added their voice, offering condolences to the families and friends of the deceased. The company says it pledges to work with the police in order to bring the killers to justice.
In the meantime, investigations into this incident is being conducted by the St Catherine North Major Investigations Task Force.
