A woman who allegedly told a complainant not to answer to her name when it was called in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court was remanded until today.
Georgia Brown is charged with perverting the course of justice. She pleaded not guilty.
The court heard that the accused committed the offence when she told the complainant, who has a case against her daughter, not to answer to her name. In that case, her daughter is accused of fighting the complainant and pushing her over a wall.
Senior Resident Magistrate (RM) Judith Pusey told her, "from you go to her [complainant], you have breached the law."
"Oh, God!" she exclaimed. The RM then responded, "Don't bring him down here, because the way my sin sheet so long, I not ready to see him yet."
The RM then ordered the accused fingerprinted. She is expected to appear in court today.
