The police are probing the death of a taxi operator in Hellshire, St Catherine on Saturday.
Dead is 38 year-old Orrett Allison of Bridgeport in the parish.
Reports from the Portmore Police are that at about 4 p.m., Allison, along with two passengers, was aboard a Toyota motor vehicle when they were approached by gunmen who opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in Allison being hit.
The police were summoned and Allison was taken to hospital and died while undergoing treatment.
The other passengers managed to escape.
Investigations continue.
