Jamaican nationals were among 23 undocumented migrants detained as they tried to illegally enter the United States via South Florida recently, THE WEEKEND STAR has learnt.
According to http://ift.tt/A0Cz5y, the Jamaican nationals, alongside Haitians, were last Monday processed on US shores to be returned to their home countries after arriving in the country unlawfully.
THE WEEKEND STAR understands that a total of 18 adults and five children, including a lone boy travelling without his parents, were processed. The unaccompanied boy, three girls from Haiti and one from Jamaica, were reportedly taken into custody upon arrival.
Following reports of their landing at an undisclosed site, officials from the US Border Patrol took the group into custody and brought them to the Border Patrol's station in Riviera Beach in the state. They were reportedly turned over to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement thereafter.
