A Jamaican residing in the United States has been indicted on sex trafficking charges involving several minors, THE WEEKEND STAR has learnt.
Charged is 25-year-old Wellington 'Jamal' Brown, who resided in Hartford, Connecticut.
According to www.wwlp.com, Brown is reportedly facing sex-trafficking charges involving a total of five minors.
It is believed that Brown, along with another, also indicted of sex-trafficking charges, conspired to recruit, entice, harbour, and transport the victims for sex acts from June 2013 to February of this year. They were subsequently arrested on July 30 after being indicted, and remain in police custody.
The charges reportedly carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, and up to life imprisonment.
