Bail in the sum of $150,000 was given to a woman accused of murder when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday. She is Nickeisha Dunbar.
The court was told that on Sunday, May 18, Dunbar and the now-deceased woman were in an altercation when an instrument was used to stab the woman in her chest and on her forearm.
The court heard that the post mortem is not yet available.
The arresting officer was opposed to bail because he said that the accused resides in the same area as the deceased and would likely interfere with witnesses.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, however, granted the accused woman bail and warned her not to interfere with witnesses.
A fingerprint order was made against Dunbar, and she is to return to court on July 22.
