Tommy Lee Sparta - File
Up to late last night, deejay Tommy Lee Sparta was still in police custody after being held by the police.
The cause of his arrest remains unknown, however, allegations are that the deejay is being held in relation to lottery scamming investigations.
Tommy Lee Sparta was among several persons arrested in New Kingston late Monday as part of the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Task Force (MOCA) crack down on persons involved in the lottery scam.
This, after the police raided a house near Lady Musgrave Road, where they seized several documents including a list of persons residing in the United States as well as other equipment used to carry out scams.
The deejay's manager, Heavy D, could not give the reason or any specific details regarding his arrest. "He was held for questioning but I cannot say what for," said Heavy D.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) also confirmed that the entertainer was in police custody but gave no further details.
