A man employed as a groundsman at Jamaica Police Academy in St Catherine has been charged with the sexual molestation of his 11-year-old stepdaughter.
The 46-year-old is charged with sexual grooming and having sex with a person under the age of 16. It was revealed that the accused was held by the police, following a report by a relative.
He was charged after the victim was medically examined, and it was revealed that she had sexual interaction.
THE STAR was informed that the man lives with the the girl's mother. He also has a child with the mother.
It was revealed that the 11-year-old girl was observed acting strangely and was questioned by a relative. After getting gruesome details on how she was abused, a report was made to the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.
The accused was picked up at work and placed in custody. He is to appear in The Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court later this week.
