The St Catherine North police are searching for a man who escaped during a raid yesterday in which several motor cars believed to be stolen were recovered.
During the operation, one man was held and parts confiscated. The cops also took into their custody two Nissan Tiida cars, two Toyota Hiace buses, one Nissan pick-up and a Honda Civic motor car. They were all still intact.
They were taken after police personnel in St Catherine swooped down on what is believed to be a chop shop in Fraziers Content. The operation took place about 2 p.m.
The man, taken into custody, is said to have been the operator of an auto repair shop on the premises.
His name has been withheld pending further investigations.
