People all over di island and even inna di diaspora a mourn her loss, cause she wasn’t just a pretty face; she was a woman wid a heart of gold and a spirit dat could light up any room she walk eena. It hard fi believe seh somebody wid so much life and energy gone from we, but we haffi cherish di memories she leave behind.
If yuh can memba back inna 2009, Jedine was one of di top contenders inna di Miss Universe Jamaica pageant. She did reach all di way to di top five, and man, she did look stunning. Wid her poise and how she carry herself, everyone did know she was destined for greatness. Even though she neva wear di final crown dat night, she was a winner inna di eyes of di Jamaican people. She represent di grace and di strength of a real Jamaican woman, and dat is someting we won't eva forget. She use her platform fi inspire oddas and show seh Jamaican girls can reach any height dem set dem mind to.
It really sad fi know seh she was fighting a hard battle wid cancer for some time now. But if yuh know Jedine, yuh know she was a warrior from day one. She neva let di sickness tek away her joy or her smile, and she fight till di very end. Even when tings did look dark, she keep her head high and show di world what true bravery look like. Her family and friends seh she was a pillar of strength, always encouraging oddas even when she herself was going through di most. Her courage inna di face of such a big challenge is a lesson to all of us.
Di news of her passing hit di pageant community and di whole of Jamaica real hard. Nuff people from di industry a share dem memories of her, talking bout how kind and humble she was. It nuh matta how far she go inna life or how much fame she get, she always stay true to her roots and her people.
