It was a nightmare on Elm Crescent in Kingston on Saturday night, following the shooting of seven persons, two fatally, THE STAR has learnt.
The deceased men have been identified as Shane Duncan, 29, labourer of Whitehall Avenue in Kingston 8, and 42-year-old Hubert Richards of Elm Crescent, Kingston 10.
Reports are that about 9:30 p.m., a group of persons were playing a game of bingo along a section of Elm Crescent off Waltham Park Road, when it is alleged that four men entered the premises. It is believed that the unknown assailants opened fire on the group, hitting seven persons.
Subsequently, the injured persons were rushed to hospital, where Duncan and Richards were pronounced dead. The others were admitted in serious condition.
Up to late last night, the Hunts Bay police said they are on the hunt for the still-at-large suspects responsible for the bold episode. The police were also unable to give a motive for the the gruesome attack.
