The St Thomas police said another suspect was arrested yesterday afternoon in relation to the investigation into the murder of 14-year-old Kayalicia Simpson.
Arrangements are now being made for him to be interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
This brings the number of persons in custody to two.
The first suspect was arrested on Wednesday, and remains in police custody. Their identities are being withheld at this time.
On Tuesday, March 3, Kayalicia's body was found near her home in the Newlands Housing Scheme, with several chop wounds.
The autopsy is set to be carried out today after delays because of a backlog of autopsies in homicide cases in the parish.
The Yallahs police will continue to investigate.
