The police in St Catherine have taken five juveniles into custody in connection with the murder of a man near Riversdale in the parish two weeks ago.
Reports are that the two males and three females were picked up following initial investigations.
They are being held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
It was revealed that the deceased was attacked after he went to retrieve furniture he had bought for one of the females.
He was allegedly chopped repeatedly by all five youths, and he reportedly died as a result of injuries received.
