Assistant Commissioner of Police, Derrick 'Cowboy' Knight, was like a man on a mission for the Lord as he echoed "Thou shall not kill", while touring Thompson Pen on Wednesday.
The Biblical quote came while ACP Knight led a delegation through the community which has been on the police crime radar in recent times.
He said he would be taking a 'white glove' approach to engaging the residents in the fight against crime.
Member of Parliament Denise Daley, who was also a part of the delegation touring the community, implored the residents to put away politics and rebuild the old capital.
Crime problem
"We can work together to get things working for the greater good, " Member of Parliament Denise Daley said.
While some residents were glad for the presence of the visitors, others were simply angrier about the crime problem.
"We need to spread di effort fi get rid di tief dem, too much outsiders here, dem must work, when I talk dem vex but I don't care," a concerned citizen said.
During the tour, scores of residents interacted with the police and asked for more trust between the two groups.
It was revealed the business community, clergy and politicians can help to address the problem.
They have been 26 murders in the St Catherine North Police Division since the start of the year.
