A Jamaican being sought by British authorities waived his rights to an extradition hearing yesterday in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court and will be flown to the United Kingdom forthwith to answer murder-related charges.
He is Lo'André Anthony Palmer.
When the case was called up, the prosecutor told Palmer that he had a choice to attend a hearing or waive his rights and go straight to prosecutors in the United Kingdom.
extradition order
Palmer agreed to do away with a hearing process and soon after signed documents relating to the extradition order that was handed to him in court.
The court was also told that Palmer was considered dangerous, adding that he will face numerous counts of murder-related charges. These include one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder, among others.
The court was told by the prosecutor that preparations would now be made for Palmer to be extradited.
