Detectives from the Elletson Road Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man who is suspected to have committed suicide along a pathway off Camp Road, Kingston 2, yesterday.
The man, believed to be in his early 50s, is about 165 centimetres (5 feet 5 inches) tall, of dark complexion and was clad in a blue-and-brown striped shirt and khaki pants.
Reports are that about 8:30 a.m., lawmen were alerted to the scene where the unidentified man's body was seen hanging by a cord from a perimeter fencing. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.
The police are appealing to members of the public who may be of any assistance in identifying the body to contact the Elletson Road CIB at 928-4200, or police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
