Clarendon man killed at home, child injured

The police in Clarendon are investigating the murder of a 35-year-old man and the injury of a six-year-old girl following an attack on their house in Clarendon yesterday morning.

Dead is Quanza Pryce, a mason of Johnson Lane, Bucknor, in the parish.

It is reported that the child is in hospital in stable condition.

Reports are that shortly after 5 a.m. yesterday, several explosions were heard and it was later discovered that Pryce's house was on fire. His body was burnt beyond recognition.

The circumstances surrounding how the child was rescued from the house are still unclear.

The police are theorising that the man was shot several times, then the house set on fire.
