Three Rastafarian men had their bails extended when the appeared before they Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
They are Novardy Thompson, Joseph Henry, and Gentle Edwards, charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The Crown alleged that on the day in question, the men, along with two others who are still at large, assaulted the complainant who is one of their colleagues.
Another Rastafarian from the camp appeared with the complainant who declared that he was desirous of representing the complainant in the matter.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked the man if he was in fact an attorney-at-law to which the man replied "No, Your Honour, I have a pre-certificate,"
"Well, you have to be an attorney-at-law. You have to take a seat at the back. This is a court of law where we have rules," RM Pusey said.
Subsequently, the accused men had their bails extended and were ordered to return on June 19 pending an outstanding medical report.
