It appears a case of unrequited love was the reason behind the killing of a woman and her two sons near their home in Good Hope district, near Porus, Manchester, on Tuesday morning.
Information reaching THE STAR is that the deceased, 40-year-old Nadeen Carridice, was allegedly killed by her former lover, after she told him she no longer wished to continue their relationship because she had become a Christian.
"She told him that she got saved and baptised and told him that it's over, but he didn't want that, so he attacked her and her sons, while they were walking," a resident told THE STAR.
The resident also told THE STAR the police had arrested the woman's babyfather, but it was later revealed by a taxi operator, that it was the ex-lover who was the perpetrator.
"After him (ex-lover) cut up the woman, him take a taxi go home and blood up the man car, so him go a station go say no is not the babyfather weh do it, is the next man," the resident revealed.
THE STAR contacted the Manchester police, and they confirmed that two men who were involved in a relationship with the deceased are currently in police custody being interviewed.
On Tuesday at around 8 a.m., Carridice and her two sons, 10-year-old Jahvaughn Thomas and 16-year-old Rusheen Ellis, were brutally chopped to death with a machete near their home.
