A man who is charged with beating two women, hours apart, will have to wait a while longer before his fate is determined, as the medical report in both matters are outstanding.
When the matter was mentioned in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday, the accused, Ramon Burton, pleaded not guilty to assault charges.
The court was told that on April 24, 2014, Burton assaulted both female complainants.
Burton told the court that he had something to explain, however, Resident Magistrate Georgiana Fraser stopped him in his tracks.
She said, "Sir, your plea is not guilty ... so you have nothing to explain."
Resident Magistrate Fraser then asked Burton, "Blows were thrown? Did they connect?"
Burton said, "Yes, Your Honour ... but I acted in self defence."
A fingerprint order was made, and Burton is schedule to return on June 9.
