Investigations are under way to ascertain who is responsible for the death of a 60-odd year-old man reportedly stoned to death in a rural St Catherine community on Monday.
He has been identified as Melbourne Smith, labourer, of Crawl district, near Riversdale, St Catherine.
Reports reaching The Star are that on Monday the now deceased is said to have had an alteration with persons or persons who pelted him with stones.
He collapse and bled to death.
Investigators were called to the scene.
It was not certain what had caused the deadly attack on Smith.
