Cop praised for returning $10 million

A police corporal based in the Kingston Eastern Division was yesterday praised by his colleagues and superiors after he single-handedly retrieved and safely handed over a large sum of cash.

Reports are that the cop was on his way to a task meeting at the divisional headquarters when he observed an item falling from a branded security truck. The corporal went to investigate, and realised that a parcel of cash had fallen from the vehicle. He retrieved it, and safely transported it to divisional headquarters, where arrangements were made for the sum of $10 million to be safely returned to the owners.

Honesty and integrity

Head of the Kingston Eastern Division, Superintendent Arthur Brown, was gushing with praises for the cop. "Honesty and integrity are some of the defining attributes of a good police officer," he explained, "and when a member so clearly displays these traits, he says on behalf of the entire constabulary, that our integrity is non-negotiable."

"I am proud to have him under my charge," he added.
