Brother held for allegedly wounding sister awaits fate

An accused who allegedly punched his sister in her face, then threw a stone and hit her on her finger causing injury, will know his fate on February 26.

Charged with unlawful wounding is Jason Granger.

On Friday when the matter was called up in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, Granger pleaded not guilty.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey asked the complainant, "Who is this man to you?"

The complainant responded saying, "Your Honour, he is my mother's son."

The court was told that the two had an argument, which turned physical.

The court heard that Granger used a stone to hit the complainant on her finger and 'chip it up'.

Granger was ordered to give his fingerprints to the police.

The medical certificate was outstanding.
