..Two on unlawful wounding charge remanded

Two men accused of stabbing another man were remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court until April 25.

Damion Haughton and Al Johnson are charged with unlawful wounding.

The Crown is alleging that on January 26, at 3:00 pm, the complainant was at the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre. Both accused men stabbed the complainant, who received wounds to his head and upper body.

It is alleged that one of them told him, "you a informer, a dead you fi dead". The attorney representing both men denied that both of his clients were involved in the incident.

In court last Wednesday, the police told Senior Resident Magistrate (RM) Judith Pusey that the men be remanded because the complainant is fearful.

The RM said in court, "I do not feel comfortable giving these men bail."

They were subsequently remanded.
