The St Catherine North police are investigating its second case of murder/suicide after a man whose advances were allegedly rejected by his former lover reportedly took her life and then his own last night.
Up to press time, the police had not released the identities of those killed as they were still said to be processing the crime scene. The police did not say how they had died.
Jealousy
Reports are that about 7 p.m., police personnel were summoned to the McCooks Pen community in St Catherine. When checks were made the man and woman were found dead.
It is believed that jealousy was a factor. It is further revealed that both parties were separated in January and that the advances of the male were later rejected by the woman.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that this was the second murder/suicide in the St Catherine North Police Division since the start of the year.
On January 15, Detective Corporal Pagiet Davie was reportedly shot to death by the father of her child Sheldon Doufe.
Both incidents are being investigated by the Spanish Town police.
