Investigators attached to the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA), yesterday arrested and charged a political activist and another man during predawn operations conducted in the Corporate Area.

Those charged are 58-year-old political representative Donovan Bisasor of a Cherry Gardens address, who is reportedly a member of the People's National Party National Executive Counsel (NEC), and 31-year-old Jesse Gosse, quantity surveyor. They are scheduled to face the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court today.

Both men, who were detained overnight, are charged with conspiracy to defraud and uttering forged documents.

According to MOCA, their arrests stem from a probe into an alleged fraudulent claim made to a utility company for services rendered in 2011.

The PNP has since released a statement saying, they have acknowledged media reports regarding the investigation.

According to the PNP, it is aware that one of the members in his personal capacity, is being investigated by MOCA.

The party says it will await the conclusion of any investigation or related court proceedings before a full comment.

MOCA, through their Twitter account announced that both men were detained during a predawn operation.
