Friends are taking steps to raise funds for a Jamaican woman and her daughter to have both bodies return to Jamaica after a planned vigil by the child's school to honour both, THE STAR understands.
Dead are Denise Rickman, 17, and her mother, Judith Henry, 41, both of Jacksonville, Florida.
According to http://ift.tt/1mh1QaY, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a man who lived with the mother and daughter before their deaths, found the bodies on the morning of June 29, in a home in the 5600 block of S. Shady Pine St.
no arrests
THE STAR gathered that the exact causes of their deaths have not been released as yet and that no arrests have been made or suspects named publicly in the case.
Our news team understands further that Rickman would have been a senior this fall at Mandarin High School.
She was known as a bright student and standout athlete who enjoyed running which is why the candlelight vigil is expected to be held on the track field.
Court records also show Henry was in the process of getting a divorce.
Police said their investigations are ongoing.
