Two men charged for stealing battery

Two men who reportedly conspired and stole a battery from West Indies Aluminium Company, are set to reappear in the Claremont Resident Magistrate's Court in St Ann.

Davian Harrison and Maurice Scott of Faith's Pen, St Ann, are to return to court on September 3 when the matter will be tried.

It was revealed that a third suspect in the matter is now acting as a witness for the defence.

Allegations are that, on July 4, 2013, the accused men allegedly stole a battery from a pumping station on the company's compound. They reportedly sold it to the third suspect. However, investigations by the company led to the recovery of the battery valued at $13,000.

The police were contacted and the men charged.
