A man who is accused of stabbing a woman on her shoulder had his bail varied to $50,000 when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
He is Leon Cole who pleaded not guilty to unlawful wounding.
Cole who was originally given $150,000 bail is to return to court on March 26.
Allegations are that on December 12, the accused and the complainant got into an argument when it's alleged that Cole pulled a rachet knife.
The accused told the court that the complainant pushed him in his face and he saw her with acid and a rachet knife.
"Me and her gentleman had an argument and she chuck off me face your honour. Me did walk her out but she follow me into di betting shop and I saw when she went into her bag for di acid. Me and her get into a tussle and that was how she did get did cut," Cole told the court.
